A NOTE FROM THE PREZ:
Dear Nobles and Ladies:
The end of this year is fast approaching. Nobles, please tell your fellow Masons about our Shrine Club. I cannot begin to emphasize how important it is for us to seek new members. Our club will cease to exist if we do not gain new members. The nominating committee recommends the following nominations for officers and directors of this club for the coming year 2010. President - George Fayle, Vice President - Chuck Critzas, Clown Director - Marv Short, Secretary/Treasurer - Stan Higgins, Chaplain - Robert Jackson, Directors - Marco Romey, Charlie Cohen, Rudy Bauer, Gus Sapon and Henry Rey. The election meeting will be at the Lamplighter Restaurant (Nordhoff at DeSoto) Tuesday, October 13th. Wear your class A's with dark pants and Fez and bring your Dues Card.
The Clown Breakfast on Saturday, Oct 10th is the next event in our immediate future. You should all have received a letter and packet of tickets, asking for $30. We are relying on all of you to pitch in and help with the serving, cooking and clean-up during this event.
Many of you participated in Our bus Trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific last month. The lunch meal at the Café Scuba dining room overlooking the Seal enclosure was the highlight of our most enjoyable day at the Aquarium. A Bus trip in March or April of next year, to a place yet to be determined, was recommended for our schedule of next year's events during the last Clown Board meeting. The schedule of events approved at the planning meeting for next year is attached elsewhere in this bulletin for your planning convenience.

ILLNESS REPORT: Both Rudy Bauer and Maxine Brauer fell and broke their shoulders this month. Bob Brauer was in the hospital with a breathing problem, We wish all of them a speedy recovery.
