A NOTE FROM THE PREZ:
Dear Nobles and Ladies:
First and formost, I would like to thank Past President Marco and his Lady Star for all the efforts they put fourth in making 2009 one of our best.
Well now that we have had our December Meeting, January 2010 is just around the corner. I want to thank Stan Higgins for putting the meeting place and dinner together - fine job. Marco declared that those who were elected for various positions for 2010 were Installed although Shrine Law states that you are not really installed until the up-coming Potentate is installed. Illness and other events kept the party crowd down. Might try another date next year.
Marco also named Stan Higgins as "MAN OF THE YEAR" for all his efforts throughout 2009. The other "Awards" will be presented.at the January 12th meeting. We have two date changes for 2010: The Shrine Circus will be on April 9th, 10th, and 11th and the Kids Day in Conejo will be Friday May 7th.
We did not have enough well people to do the Granada Hills Parade and the weather is scheduled to be a wash-out for the Chatsworth Parade - Rain - Rain - Rain. This will be (as far as I know) the first time we have missed being in a Holiday Parade. Hopefully next year.
Hope to have a better parade year in 2010 now that we have a better towing set-up..
